    Description:
Everything is configured properly server-side and I can connect to my Z39 gate target, however, I can't seem to be able to use the target as a Browse External headings target when cataloging in the Meditor. Why?

    Resolution:
    1. In the admin unit you want the browse external headings configured for e.g.
    /adm01/md/descriptive/<dc or marc>/scancode.dat

Add new entry column for the new target code (TARGET) followed by UTIL-K-1 to repackage the md type which you chose (DC or MARC)
    e.g.

    LOCAL ALEPH_Z39 OXFORD TARGET
    creator AUT AUT AUT
    title TIT TIT TIT
    alternative TIT TIT TIT

2.In: \COMMON\TAB\SEARBASE.dat (on your local client PC for Meditor install)

add a line that looks something like this:

    Target Name TARGET EXT01

    3. Connect to Meditor and Admin unit which the browse is configured for and browse headings in the new target.
