    Please refer to the last section of the "Digitool System Configuration Guide".
    Below is the essential information from it:

    4.4.2.1 Definition
    Sort is defined in two configuration files in the silo’s tab directory. The first sort definitions are defined in the table /exlibris/dtl/u3_1/dtle/tab/tab_sort. Tab_sort definitions are those that are used to build the database’s sort index. The Resource Discovery’s availability of these defined sort codes are defined in the general configuration file
    /exlibris/dtl/u3_1/gen01/tab/www_r_silo_conf.xml.

    4.4.2.2 Configuration

    As mentioned, the tab directory file tab_sort holds the sort code definitions for the
    silo. An example of the default setup of sort codes:

    Each row in tab_sort represents a different Dublin Core internal tag by which the sort codes will be built.

    To activate the sortability options from the Resource discovery, the appropriate section of the www_r_silo_conf.xml file must be defined. The following represents a sample entry for sorting title with sort code 03 Ascending and secondary sort on Creator Ascending:
