    Introduction

The Digitool Meditor client was developed for 32 bit windows operating systems, but may still be installed on PCs with the Windows10 operating system (32 or 64 bit) with some extra steps.

Here I shall outline the additional steps necessary for Meditor to provide full functionality following the installation steps outlined in Chapter 21 of the Digitool Configuration Guide on Page 316.

    Additional steps for Windows 10

    Step One

Once the Meditor client has been installed as described in the Configuration Guide, Meditor should be installed in the folder C:\DigiTool\

Permissions on this folder should be edited so that local machine users / Authenticated users have the following rights:

Modify, Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read, Write

These rights should be inherited by all files and folders under C:\DigiTool\

    Note:

Administrator permissions are required to make the above change. You should ask your IT administrator to help if you are unable to do this.

    Step Two

On 64bit machines you will need to register the EXMLGrid.dll library.

Open a Windows command shell (CMD) as administrator and run the following command:

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\REGSVR32 "c:\Windows\SysWOW64\EXMLGrid.dll"
