    Question

We do not use the booking functionality in Aleph. In Primo3, opac via primo functionality, I have been able to remove "Booking" as a request option, but in the Locations tab, in Request Options, I cannot make "Booking": (currently displays Hold : Booking) go away.

Where are the request options configured? I'm unable to find it by going through the mapping and code tables or in the documentation.

    Answer

It should be possible to prevent the display of booking in Primo (and make it impossible to book in Aleph) by changing Aleph configuration:

--Setting the value in column 16 of tab15.eng to N in all relevant cases.
--Setting up a check in tab_hold_request that makes use of this value, e.g.,
    BK-PRE check_booking_request_a (item cannot be booked in tab15 column 16 = N)

Please check your Aleph server configuration and let us know if you still see the Booking option in Primo.
