How to determine which returned book cover image is good in a Primo API call

Question

How to determine which returned book cover image is good in a Primo API call?

Answer

Primo uses more than one thumbnails: there is a default thumbnail, and according to the settings in the Normalization Rules, they can come from Google, Syndetics, Alma, Digitool and so on. During an API call all the possible thumbnail URLs will return in the API call's XML or JSON answer. 

You can check for a code to determine which thumbnail is usable by visiting the following URL:

And check the github solution they've provided for Primo FE classic UI. Even if it is not directly about Primo API, you can find the code they developed useful.
