    Primo's Normalization resource type mapping tables are used to display the resource type in the brief and full display.

    This is the Out of the Box example of the mapping table 008_21_SE.

    The name of the mapping table indicates how it will function with the normalization rules. The first three digits are the MARC field, the second section is the position of the Source Code, and the last section indicates the Resource Type.

    For example,

    The Source Code is the letter that is in the MARC source record and the Target Code is displayed in the Front End (Code table is needed to translate these values to what is seen in the Front End). Both the Source code and the Target Code can be edited to your institutions requirements. The edits will have to be made in mind with the type of Resource type in the mapping table. 

    Here is an example Normalization rule for display:type using the mapping table 008_21_SE.
