Problem Symptoms:

- OAI request failed:

http://your_host_name.edu/cgi/o/oai/oai?verb=ListRecords&metadataPrefix=marc21&set=hathitrust:pdus ?verb=Identify

- Error executing harvesting_process from pipe work log:
Error code: cannotDisseminateFormat. Message:  The metadata format identified by the value given for the metadataPrefix argument is not supported by the item or by the repository. 

Cause:

Wrong pipe configurations

Resolution:

1. Test the following URLs for a valid set name, in this example pdus

http://your_host_name.edu/cgi/o/oai/oai?verb=Identify
http://your_host_name.edu/cgi/o/oai/oai?verb=ListRecords&metadataPrefix=marc21&set=hathitrust:pdus

2. If results are returned, confirming valid set names, then set the pipe configurations values:
Data source: Hathi Trust
Harvesting method: OAI
Server:

http://your_host_name.edu/cgi/o/oai/oai

Metadata format: marc21 *(MUST be lowercase)
Set: hathitrust:pdus
Normalization mapping set: Hathi Trust
Enrichment set: No enrichments
Harvested File Format: *.tar.gz
System last stage: FRBR
