    Question

What base URL should I provide databases that do not support question marks?

    Answer

    • For Primo: (Classic UI and New UI)
No further action needs to be done. The following base URL can be used:

    http://<Primo_domain>/openurl/<Primo_institution_code>/<Primo_view_code>

When using the New UI, make sure that the 'New UI Enabled' checkbox is checked in the institution wizard.

    • For Primo VE:

    Use the following format:

    https://<discovery_domain>/openurl/<Alma_institution_code>/<Discovery_view_code>

Example of third party databases that refuse the question mark: Karger journals platform.
