    Question

How does the configuration of view by IP affect the customer?

    Answer

In the views wizard, the 'Default Institution' dropdown has two options:
    1. by View
    2. By IP
If a view is configured to recognize a user by IP, this configuration will check the user IP and send the request according to the IP list in the institution related to this view (in the institution wizard configuration).
If the same IP is listed in two different institutions, this creates a conflict and the desired institutional view may not display reliably.
By viewing the source of the results page, users can check from which institution the query has been sent.
If the institution is not the view institution, check if the IP list of those two institutions is similar.
