    Question

When creating a Full View Deep Link (dlDisplay.do), which recordid is used when the record is deduped?

    Answer

The dedupmrg recordid should be used in the &docId= parameter, and not the recordids of the dedup members.

    Additional Information

If individual member recordids are more readily available to staff than Primo’s dedupmrg recordids, then Brief Search Deep Link using the member recordid is recommended instead of Full View Deep Links.

In Primo SP4.6 and later, the Permalink syntax is recommended instead of Full View Deep Links.
(The syntax is simpler and either dedupmrg recordid or member recordid can be used)
