Why isn't an LC call number found in the "By Library of Congress call numbers" browse list?

Answer

The Library of Congress call number browse list contains only call numbers which are assigned type = 0 (or $$T=0 in the PNX).

Check the type assigned by looking at the PNX either through the PNX Viewer via the Back Office or by viewing the full record in the Front End and appending &showPnx=true to the URL. The $$T is found at the end of the browse/callnumber field:

The valid types are as follows:
0 – Library of Congress
1 – Dewey
2 – National Library of Medicine (NLM)
3 – SUDOC
8 – Generic

If a $$T is not present, Primo will default to Generic.

Either the type can be changed to "0" in the source record, or the Primo normalization rules can be modified to use a single call number browse list to prevent type inconsistencies.
