Disk Space Commands

The amount of available disk space in your file systems determines the amount of data you can store in your database and make available to your users. After setting up the initial amount of disk space, your system might need more space— for example, if you add new libraries to your data sources.
Disk space in the following two locations can become a critical factor:

Pipes directories

Index directory
Checking Disk Space
To check disk space in the pipes directory:

Enter the following command to move to the production directory:be_production

Enter the following command to display the total amount of disk space of the directory, the amount of used disk space, and the available disk space:df -khThe following is an example of the output:primo.corp.exlibrisgroup.com-p1(1) >>be_productionprimo.corp.exlibrisgroup.com-p1(1) >>df -khFilesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on filer01:/vol/data4/primo400G 359G 42G 90% /exlibrisprimo.corp.exlibrisgroup.com-p1(1) >>
To check disk space in the index directory:

Go to the index directory.

Enter the following command to display disk information:df -khThe following is an example of the output:Il-primo05.corp.exlibrisgroup.com-p1(1)>>df -khFilesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted onFiler01:/vol/data1/primoshare 15G 14G 91% /exlibris_primo
Freeing Disk Space
You can free disk space by cleaning up the old pipes and process execution directories, as well as the log directories. For more information on cleaning log directories, refer to Cleaning Primo Log Directories.
