    Rialto Recommendation Feeds - Dismissal

    • Product: Rialto

    Question

What else happens as a result of clicking the dismiss button, other than the title leaving my feed? If the feed is being "fine tuned" as a result of the dismissing, I want Rialto titles that are dismissed as duplicates to still be seen in the future.

    Answer

Dismissed titles are hidden from future feed results. That data is not used to dismiss/hide other related titles.

    Question

When I dismiss a title in in my feed, does it dismiss it from others' feeds who are using the same profile, or are the feeds individually managed by each person?

    Answer

Dismissing titles from one's recommendation feed doesn't dismiss them from other users' recommendation feeds. Everyone receives a copy of the recommendation profile's feed. However, it is different for the selection plan feed/snapshot. If a title is dismissed/rejected from a selection plan snapshot, it applies to the institutional level for that plan. All users will see the same version of the feed.
