    After installation of new 'Format Library', format identification fails with errors during submission

    Symptoms

    After installation of new 'Format Library', format identification fails with errors during submission.
    As a result SIPs might transfer to TA ('Submissions' → 'Technical Issues').

    Following errors are seen in server logs:

    • ... ERROR [com.exlibris.dps.repository.plugin.formatidentification.FFDroidIdentificationPlugin] (SIP_PROCESSING_QUEUE Queue Job Receiver 102) [] Failed to get agent signature version
    • ... ERROR [com.exlibris.dps.repository.plugin.formatidentification.FFDroidIdentificationPlugin] (SIP_PROCESSING_QUEUE Queue Job Receiver 105) [] Failed parsing signature files

    Cause

    The newly installed 'Format Library' was distributed with incorrect metadata of its Droid plugin.
    New Droid plugin should have updated its metadata according to the published recommendation:
    https://github.com/rosetta-format-library/Rosetta.Droid-FormatIdentificationPlugin/blob/master/README.md

    Releasing 'Format Library' updates is under the responsibilities of the "Format Library Working Group" (FLWG).

    Resolution

    1. Restart Rosetta in all applications servers of the environment.
    2. For any affected SIP found in 'Technical Issues', execute the 'Re-run' action.
