DC metadata fields Language settings
- Product: Rosetta
As of Rosetta 5.5, the language settings of DC metadata fields were changed to use a shorter encoding according to W3C recommendation.
Customers whose original installation was prior to Rosetta version 5.5, will need to adjust the changes in their local configuration file.
Question
How to change Dublin-Core configuration file according to the updated encoding?
Answer
- Go to Administration > General > Configuration Files
- Filter by File Group: Metadata Editing Configuration, Sub-Group: Web Editor
- Edit file: webeditor_dublincore_configuration.xml
- Replace the values for xml:lang qualifiers
From:
<qualifier> <code>xml:lang</code> <desc>Language</desc> <format>LIST</format> <values> <value>English</value> <value>Hebrew</value> <value>French</value> </values> </qualifier>
To:
<qualifier> <code>xml:lang</code> <desc>Language</desc> <format>LIST</format> <values> <value>en</value> <value>he</value> <value>fr</value> </values> </qualifier>
