    1. In order to change Base URL in your GS registration please follow the steps:
    • Product: SFX
    • Product Version: SFX 4
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Multi-Tenant Direct, Dedicated-Direct, Local, TotalCare

Some of external services using a link servers might need to change the Base URL used in Google Scholar (eg. Third Iron's LibKey or similar services).

Please note GS Registration Form in SFX Admin does not allow to edit Base URL directly. The system is designed to use Base URL of the server from where the request is made.

In order to change Base URL in your GS registration please follow the steps:
    1. Open a new case for SFX Support
    2. Add a following details to the case description:
    • Subject: Google Scholar Registration - Changing of Base URL
    • Name of your institution
    • Current Base URL (eg. https://sfx.somelibrary.com/sfxlcl41)
    • New Base URL (eg. https://libkey.io/libraries/123/openurl)
    • Add a comment why you need to update the Base URL (which product do you use)

Please note the change takes 7-10 days after the registration is updated by Ex Libris Staff.

This procedure above is related only for changing Base URL. If you need to change any other field (text of links, keywords, IP...) this can be done via standard GS Registration form in SFX Admin.
