Linking to Proquest HTTPS Gateway
- Product: SFX
Description
In light of the change in ProQuest customer-facing platforms from HTTP to HTTPS our Content Operations teams have taken action to address this change and all links to ProQuest platforms have been updated accordingly.
For our customers who use EZProxy but have not updated to the latest version (v. 6x), we have discovered that HTTPS URL’s will result in an error.
Resolution
We have reverted all ProQuest URL’s back to HTTP and ProQuest platform will automatically redirect to HTTPS.
The update will take place by the 3rd revision of June (the 20172500 revision).
For hosted/Total care customers will be applied @ June 25th.
Please note that at some point the redirects will be removed, and linking will have to be done via HTTPS URLs only.
We strongly recommend that you update your EZProxy to the latest version (v. 6x), in order to prevent linking difficulties in the future.
Please see ProQuest Support for HTTPS for additional information.
If you have any further questions, please submit a support case.
