    openURL with DOI uses year m_type=online instead of year m_type=print

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: SFX
    • Product Version: 4

    Description:
    When an openURL has a DOI, the year which is presented in the SFX menu is the year it was published as an online object and not the printed year.
    The requested behavior would be reverse; if a printed year exists- it should be presented, otherwise the ‘on-line’ year should be taken.

    For example:
    The fetch result contains both print media type year and online media type year:

    <year media_type="print">1996</year>
    <year media_type="online">2009</year>

    However, it’s the online year that is recorded in the SFX ctx_object:
    |rft.year| => |2009|

    Resolution:
