Ulrichsweb: EZproxy Set-Up

How do we set up EZproxy for the Ulrichsweb interface?
The Ulrichsweb service is available as a non-SSL (HTTP) and an SSL (HTTPS) site. Both versions are available to all libraries. For standard linking to Ulrichsweb, the non-SSL version will be adequate for most libraries. For libraries seeking an additional level of security for their patron log-ins, you may use the SSL URL. Follow the appropriate instructions below.
If you have activated linking from the E-Journal Portal to Ulrichsweb, please follow the instructions for the SSL (HTTPS) version.
Non-SSL (HTTP) Site
For standard linking to Ulrichsweb through your EZproxy, perform these steps:

Add the following information to your EZproxy Configuration File:

Restart EZproxy.

When you embed the Ulrichsweb URL into your library's web pages, prepend your EZproxy prefix to the beginning of the Ulrichsweb URL. For example, the URL you will embed into your library's website may look something like this:
http://proxy.university.edu/login?url=http://ulrichsweb.serialssolutions.com/
SSL (HTTPS) Site
For added security when your users log in, you may use the SSL version of Ulrichsweb. EZproxy supports access to secure (https://) content, such as the Ulrichsweb service, but requires enabling SSL support within EZproxy:

Create an SSL Certificate for use with EZproxy. See detailed instructions from OCLC.

Your EZproxy configuration file will require two stanzas, one for the SSL site, and one for the non-SSL site. The following stanzas should be added to your EZproxy Configuration File:
