    When migrating from Voyager to Alma it may be desirable to cleanup any problems with the beginning of the URL in the 856 field.  This query lists any entries that do not begin with http:// or https:// or ftp://

    Note that this query excludes Authority Records.

    The following query, which can be run using Voyager's Prepackaged Access Reports, can identify those 856 fields in Bibliographic and MFHD records, that have typographical errors at the beginning of the URL.

    Query:

    SELECT ELINK_RECORD_TYPE.RECORD_TYPE, ELINK_INDEX.RECORD_ID, utf8to16([ELINK_INDEX].[LINK])
    AS LINK, ELINK_INDEX.LINK_SUBTYPE
    FROM ELINK_INDEX INNER JOIN ELINK_RECORD_TYPE ON ELINK_INDEX.RECORD_TYPE = ELINK_RECORD_TYPE.RECORD_TYPE_ID
    WHERE (((utf8to16([ELINK_INDEX].[LINK])) Not Like "http://*" And (utf8to16([ELINK_INDEX].[LINK]))
    Not Like "https://*" And (utf8to16([ELINK_INDEX].[LINK]))
    Not Like "ftp://*") AND ((ELINK_INDEX.RECORD_TYPE) Not Like "A") AND ((ELINK_INDEX.SEQNUM) Like "1")
    AND ((utf8to16([ELINK_INDEX].[URL_HOST]))<>""))
    ORDER BY utf8to16([ELINK_INDEX].[LINK]);

    For other queries that may be useful, see my "Surviving Almanado: tips for a successful pre-implementation" presentation's Accompanying Materials.

    Posted as is. If you need assistance in running custom SQL queries in Prepackaged Access Reports, consult the Voyager Customer Listserv.
