    Symptoms

    * Bulkimport crashes with memory corruption error message, beginning with
    *** glibc detected *** /m1/voyager/bin/{version}/bulkimport: double free or corruption (!prev): 0x0a6bf0c0 ***

    Defect Status

    Issue 16384-13073 resolved for Voyager 8.1.1 and higher.

    Workaround

    Disable glibc memory allocator strict checking by setting MALLOC_CHECK_=0 in the environment.

    Replication steps:

    1. Import file of records: Pbulkimport –iBMERGE –f /m1/incoming/records.mrc
    2. BulkImport crashes:
