Can we add the patron barcode field to the overdue notices that get sent to patrons?

Answer

Within the current parameters of the software, there is not a way to add a patron barcode to the notice format (other than bypassing Reporter completely). Reporter is basically formatting the information contained in the .inp files, which are produced by the circjobs, and those fields cannot be modified.
