    Copyright symbol display issue when importing records into Voyager cataloging client

    Question

    Some OCLC MARC records have a copyright symbol in the MARC 260 or 264 field.  When those records are brought over into Voyager cataloging, the character is not displayed properly.

    Answer

    Check your settings for export from OCLC and import in Voyager Cataloging (and also your Database Definitions Source Character Set in SYSADMIN).

    Be sure that everything is set to MARC21 UTF-8.

    This should get the Unicode characters into Voyager correctly.
