    Question

What does the Match Job in Global Data Change (GDC) do?

    Answer

The Match Job lets you build a record set in the database based on the contents of a file of records. For each record in the file, the job builds a generated 035 field and looks for matches in the database. Any record with a matching 035 is added to the record set.

    Additional Information

If a generated 035 from the record file matches more than 1 record in the database, all matching records are added.

What's the mechanism for matching with GDC Match Job?
