    How do you identify Happening Locations in Voyager for migration to Alma?

    Answer

    Identify Voyager Happening Locations in the SysAdmin Client or by writing a query or report to check the value in the database.

    Additional Information

    To identify Happening Locations in SysAdmin:

    • Go to Acquisitions>Policy Definitions>each policy>Locations and scroll through the list of locations on the right; any location with (o) after it is defined as an Acquisitions Happening Location
    • Go to Cataloging>Policy Definitions>each policy>Locations and scroll through the list of locations on the right; any location with (c) after it is defined as a Cataloging Happening Location
    • Go to Circulation>Policy Definitions>each policy>Locations and scroll through the list of locations on the right; any location with (c) after it is defined as a Circulation Happening Location (click the Settings button for the location to see more)

    See the "Happening Locations" section of the System Administration User's Guide (starting on pg. 10-39) for additional information on how Voyager Happening Locations in the SysAdmin client.

    OR

    To identify Happening Locations in the database:

    • Check the ACQ_LOCATIONS table for any row where ORDER_LOC = 'Y'
    • Check the CAT_POLICY_LOCS table for any row where CATALOGING_LOCATION = 'Y'
    • Check the CIRC_POLICY_LOCS table for any row where CIRC_LOCATION = 'Y'
