    Question

My library would like to change the number of days before sending the first overdue notice and to remove the second overdue notice for all patron groups and category of material. How can that be done?

    Answer

Voyager 9.0.0 and higher allows a value to be updated for multiple matrix lines at the same time:

    1. System Administration > Circulation > Policy Definitions > {choose the relevant policy} > Edit > Matrix
    2. Highlight all matrix lines that will be updated with the same values. (Ctrl + click to select multiple lines; or Select All to select all lines)
    3. Click Modify Multiple ...
    4. Click Intervals tab
    5. Modify values:
      1. Check Modify? checkbox for First Overdue Interval
      2. Set First Overdue Interval value (this is number of days between when item becomes overdue and first overdue notice generated for patron)
      3. Check Modify? checkbox for Other Overdue Notice Count
      4. Set Other Overdue Notice Count value to 0 (no other overdue notices to be generated)
    6. Click Save in Circulation Policy Matrix Record Settings Multiple Edit box.
    7. Click Save in Circulation Policy Definition.

    Additional Information

Prior to Voyager 9.0.0, updates must be made to individual patron group/item type combinations in the policy matrix > Intervals tab for each line in the matrix.
