    Question

After running a data change or scan job in Global Data Change (GDC) the following buttons are disabled (grayed out) in "Job Management - View Running/Completed" for that job:

    • View Log
    • Delete Log
    • Get Result Files
    • Delete Result Files

Also, there are no log or other related files in the /m1/voyager/xxxdb/gdc folder.  Other jobs run seem fine and the job management buttons display as expected.

    Answer

This can sometimes happen in a Voyager two tier (separate APP/Database and WEB servers) site.  If GDC is running on both servers, and other configurations are in place, occasionally the GDC process on the WEB server can take a job from the queue and run it.  In this situation the GDC logs and other files will be on the WEB server and not accessible to operators.

The solution is disable GDC on the WEB server.  Please open a Case with Voyager Support for assistance.

    Additional Information

In this situation after disabling GDC on the WEB server, copy over the contents of the /gdc directory to the APP/Database server so that operators will have access to the files.
