MARCEXPORT: -mS suppressed not working with -rH (export holding/mfhd)

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.2.2

    Description:
    Issue 16384-17378
    Module: marcexport
Releases - Replicated on Voyager 5-8.1.0
    Server Platforms affected: All
Loss of functionality from previous version or prior build: n/a

    Expected Results:
The -mS parameter (export MARC records that have been suppressed) used in conjunction with the -rH (record type of MFHD) in marcexport would export MFHDs that are suppressed.

    Actual Results:
The -mS parameter (export MARC records that have been suppressed) used in conjunction with the -rH (record type of MFHD) in marcexport does not export MFHDs that are suppressed.

    Replication Steps:
From the /m1/voyager/xxxdb/sbin enter the command line
    Pmarcexport -rH -mS -ttoday

    Record Type: MFHD
Export Mode: Suppressed - Date Range
    Export Target: today
    Output File Name: /m1/voyager/voydb/rpt/marc.exp.20120126.0942

[S]uppress option good only for bibs

WORKAROUND: Run a MSAccess Report via the Prepackaged Reports and pull mfhd_ids that are suppressed. Export that file into a tab delimited text file with one mfhd_id per line. Then, marcexport that file using the -mM parameter (MARC ID input file).

    Resolution:
    Fixed in Voyager 8.2.2.
