Problem Symptoms:

Attempting to delete fund results in error message:

Deletion Failed
This fund, or one of its subsidiary funds, is in use on a Purchase Order or Invoice.
Cannot delete!

According to custom reports, fund is not used on any purchase orders or invoices

Cause:

Fund is in use on purchase orders and/or invoices, but fund name has been changed to indicate it is obsolete

Resolution:

Search Acquisitions using Fund Code to determine which POs and Invoices are still using fund; delete data if still warranted in order to delete fund:

1. In Acquisitions, go to File > Search > Purchase Order
2. To search one fund for POs that may be linked to the fund, use the following parameters:

Search by: Fund Code
Condition: equal
Search For: <insert fund code>

3. Click Search
4. Repeat Steps #1-3, but substitute "Invoice" in Search dropdown to search for Invoices linked to fund
