    Question

How does Voyager support the new ten digit OCLC number format?

    Answer

The new format is supported through normalization rule changes involving the 'on' prefix in Voyager version 8.2.0.

For sites not yet on 8.2.0, OCLC number searches of ten digit numbers will need to include the prefix "on" since normalization rules do not include removal of this prefix (the "ocm" and "ocn" prefixes are removed from numbers with 8 and 9 digits).

When you upgrade to Voyager 8.2.0 or higher, the normalization rule changes will apply and no additional steps will need to be taken.
