WebV: 102X_config.xml and 1021 code do not display correct serials issues

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.1.0

    Problem Symptoms:
?The correct number of issues displays with the 1021 display code, but it displays the oldest issues marked to Display in OPAC in Acq, rather than the newest/most recent.

    Cause:
This behavior is the result of Known Issue 16384-17457.

    Resolution:
    Fixed in Voyager 8.2.2.

    Additional Information

    Replication steps
In Acquisitions, find a check-in record for a serial and look at the History. Set the most recent 8 issues so Display in OPAC? = Yes.
In WebVoyage, edit 102X_config to set the most recent 3 issues to display in WebVoyage:
    <numberOfIssuesToDisplayPerComponent>3</numberOfIssuesToDisplayPerComponent>
Make sure that in displayHoldings.cfg that the 1021 display code is the code being used to display recent issues of serials.
Search in the WebVoyage interface for the serial title & open the record. The recent issues that display will be the 3 oldest issues of the 8 marked ?Yes? for Display in OPAC? in Acq, rather than the 3 most recent issues.

Workaround: Set only the most recent issues you?d like to display to Yes for Display in OPAC? in the check-in record history for the serial component.
