    Question

What does the Acqjob 1 do?  We run each week but are not getting any report.

    Answer

Acqjob 1 goes through your serials and monograph order records to see which items should be claimed -- the rules for claiming are part of your Acq/Ser System Administration set-up. The job doesn't do anything but put a system-readable flag on the records that should be claimed – no claims are automatically generated and there is no report generated for you to print.

When you use the "Order Maintenance" function in the client, you'll see an option for claims. This option will let you review what items have been flagged as being ready to be claimed – what you decide about each of those items is up to you.
