    Question

Why are both Name and Subject entries added to Global Headings Change (GHC) queue for same authority record when heading updated?

    Answer

When updating subject headings, a single entry is typically added to GHC queue to update bibs with that subject heading.

However, many name headings can be used as both name headings and subject headings. In this case, two entries for the heading are added to the GHCqueue: one to change bibs using this heading as a subject heading (6xx), and one to change bibs using this heading as a name heading (i.e., 1xx, 7xx).
