    Z39.50 connections fail from Voyager databases to Alma databases

    Symptoms

    Attempts to download records found through a remote database search results in 65099 and 440 RTEs and the client immediately shuts down.

    Defect Status

    VYG-6848 is resolved for Voyager 10.0.0 and higher.

    Replication Steps

    1. Set up connection information for Z39.50 for a selected attribute for an Alma database 
    2. Connect to the remote database in Cataloging and perform a search.
    3. Get a result and attempt to download it; error message appears and forces shutdown of Cat client.

    Workaround

    Make connection from external Z39.50 client like Yaz.
