Migration to Oracle Analytics Server and Data Visualization

We are depreciating ongoing support for the legacy Insight Analytics module and are investing time and effort in improving the Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) Insight reporting.

As part of initiating the improvements, we are migrating from the current version of Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) to Oracle Analytics Server & Data Visualization (OAS).

The deployment of this new analytics suite will be undertaken on the dates shown below (depending on your region), with no planned disruption to your users’ experience.

Once implemented, the analytics experience will initially look similar, but the change to OAS will provide us with an updated toolset to start building enhanced reports and visualizations going forward in 2021

To facilitate the migration, we are asking customers who have created their own custom Reports saved in ‘My Folder’ in OBI to add them to their institutional shared folder by the ‘Date to Save Private Reports’ in the table above. Reports that are not saved here will be removed as part of the migration.

 Use the following steps to migrate. In this example, the institution is called "ABC University" and the name is "John Smith":

1. Create a folder under "/shared/ABC University/" called "John Smith"
2. Copy your reports from "/My Folders" to "/shared/ABC University/John Smith"
3. After the migration (if desired) copy them back to "/My Folders"
