    1. Why am I getting a Citation Error screen when I try to look up a PMID?

Why am I getting a Citation Error screen when I try to look up a PMID?

The Citation Error screen is usually due to one of the following reasons:

    1. The PMID is still in process at PubMed or the PMID does not yet exist

To check this, enter the PMID in the search box at pubmed.com. If it says "in process", creation of the PMID is still working its way through PubMed's system. 360 Link is unable to look up a PMID until it is live.

PMID along with a "PubMed - in process" note displaying below the abstract:

    2.  The 360 Link Pubmed lookup server is unavailable

If you are getting the Citation Error screen for multiple PMIDs that do exist, use the Support Portal (available via the More Sites drop-down menu above) to please let us know so our operations team can identify the issue.
