    • Product: 360 Link

's migration from OLINKS impact 360 Link?

OhioLINK will retire their locally-developed link resolver OLINKS on December 31, 2013. In preparation 360 Link has or will make the following updates to our OhioLINK inbound linking target (Linker):
As of 3/26/2013 the 360 Link inbound linking target for OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center was updated from the OLINKS syntax to the new search queries:
As of June 22, 2013 an inbound linking target to OhioLINK Electronic Book Center will become available and uses the following search query:
On July 23, 2013 the following updates to these linking queries will be released:
    • DOI linking will no longer be the preferred linking option as all articles may not have a DOI indexed by OhioLINK
    • DOI Linking will now include double quotes around the DOI parameter to improve the result return
    • Chapter level linking will be updated to: http://ebooks.ohiolink.edu/xtf-ebc/s...R_TITLE&title= "BOOK_TITLE "&smode=advanced
Please note these new inbound linking targets are search queries and not an OpenURL or direct linking format. Patrons will be taken to a result set based on the citation metadata values passed to 360 Link instead of the full text of the article.

If your library has opted to not migrate to LinkSource, no action is required (360 Link updating our target was the only necessary action).

If your library is migrating to LinkSource, please contact OhioLINK directly for additional assistance or find more information here:
