    Blank Page Appears When Linking via 360 Link and EZproxy to Abstracting and Indexing Databases

    Problem Symptom

    When linking from A&I databases (such as EBSCO or APA products) to full-text on other databases using 360 Link 2.0 and EZproxy a blank page appears instead of the content.

    Cause

    This occurs when a publisher's site uses code that blocks content from appearing in frames. The 360 Link 2.0 Sidebar uses frames.

    Resolution

    1. Add the following line of code to your EZproxy configuration file:

      HTTPHeader -global -response -block X-Frame-Options

       
    2. This will strip the code from all sites that are proxied.
    3. Open access sites that you have not included in the proxy will still appear as blank frames, but all of your subscribed content should appear as expected.

     

    Note: This workaround may not be compatible with older configurations of EZproxy.
