How does the 360 MARC Updates service handle title changes made by content providers?

Title changes are actually reflected in 360 MARC Updates records as long as both the provider of the journal and CONSER present the title change correctly. Generally we rely on the data supplied to us by content providers to report titles and coverage dates (though for the E-Journal Portal and all reports, the version of the title we use is the one from its associated CONSER bibliographic record). However, if we do find out about inaccurate data (such as title changes, dead titles, or coverage gaps not reported by the content provider), we will make every effort to correct this data on our end, verifying title changes in the CONSER records.
