360 Resource Manager: Contact Importer API
- Product: 360 Resource Manager
What is the 360 Resource Manager Contact Importer API, and how does it work?
The 360 Resource Manager Contact Importer API allows libraries to build custom solutions for importing contacts to 360 Resource Manager. The API provides an interface for library tech teams to both send queries and receive XML-formatted results.
Libraries that opt to use the 360 Resource Manager Contact Importer API have complete programmatic control over the application's contacts functionality. Development teams can build custom solutions to meet the requirements of local library staff. Additionally, developers can embed results in a variety of locations.
One way the service could be used is to take contact data from an ILS or an Exchange server, export it to a file, and then use the API to import the contacts into 360 Resource Manager. Or vice versa.
This service is designed for libraries with experienced software developers or development teams.
If you are interested in the API, contact Library Support by clicking on the Support Portal option near the top of this page.
Please note: Any library wishing to use or view the API must first sign a Terms of Use (TOA). Upon completion of the TOA, the library will be given access to the API technical documentation and a listserv dedicated to answering questions during the implementation and function of the API. Two PDF versions of the TOU agreement are available:
- Use the Terms of Use document if internal staff from your institution will be using the API.
- Use the Terms of Use (third party) document if an agent (a party not affiliated with your institution) will be using the API on your behalf.
Use the Support Portal (accessible from the More Sites drop-down menu above) to send us a signed TOU agreement.
The 360 Resource Manager Contact Importer API service is included with the cost of a subscription to 360 Resource Manager.
