(ASP site:) How to tell if a batch job ran successfully

    Description:
We're an ASP site (and do not have ssh access to the server). I just ran p_ret_01. How can I tell (in the GUI client) if a job like this, which does not produce any report, is complete -- and if it was successful?

    Resolution:
You can see the status of a job by looking at its entry under the "Batch Log" tab in the Task Manager.

When you see the "end" line -- as you should in the case of your p_ret_01 -- that means that the job is complete.

Since p_ret_01 does not write any report to the Print directory, you can't actually look at the outfile in the Task Manager. You should assume, if it's completed, that it was successful and go on to the next step.
