    Description:
Do we need to have an 001 field in our records? Does it need to be indexed?

    Resolution:
When you export records or send records with z39.50, you may want to have the ALEPH system number included as an 001 field. This 001 field can be added to the record via expand as part of the export.
In any case, assuming that what you have in the 001 field is the ALEPH number, you do not need have a separate index for it and there does not need to be any such 001 index specified in tab00 or tab11. The SYS index serves this function.
