    Answer

Yes, we recommend to clean up the temp directory regularly, as follows:

    1. Stop ARC
    csh -f arc_shutdown

    2. Cleanup the /c8/temp directory (especially huge uda files) manually

    3. Start ARC

    csh -f arc_startup

    Additional Information

The files under the temp/ directory are temporary and are created as swap files while running large reports.
Sometimes these files are not cleaned up automatically. In this case they should be cleaned up manually.

In case of disk space issues, consider defining the temp directory location in a different disk - temp directory is defined in the Cognos configuration.

    ARC 4.0/4.5.
