    Description:
    With version 17 (and now 18) there is a checkbox option to add BIB/HOL data to a Browse in the GUI. This makes the sublibrary and collection appear in the "Holdings Info" column.

    Is there any way to add the call number to this column's display? If not, is there any way to suppress this display?

    Resolution:
    The display of this "Holdings Info" column occurs via the following line in the xxx01 pc_tab_col.eng:

    PC_SEAR_SCAN_BIB L Holdings Info 03 020 01 C04 Holdings Information

    The ./pc_com/pc_edit_scan_list_bib_data program which builds this display is hard-coded to include:

    * z13_title,
    * z13_author, and (depending on the
    * 852 $$b (sublibrary) and $$c (Collection) subfields.

    Any change would need to be an enhancement request.

    I don't believe there's a way to prevent the checkbox from displaying, but the following line in \Alephcom\tab\eng\window.dat on the PC specifies the text for this display:

    SearchBrowse.Check.IncludeBIBData #Include BIB/HOL data

    You can change the "Include BIB/HOL data" to whatever you like.

    {Note that the effect of this checkbox is not just to display the HOLdings data, but also the BIB data: in the case of a title, the title with the author; and, in the case of an author, the title(s).}

    You can, of course, prevent the "Holdings Info" column from displaying by changing the column percentages (column 5) in the pc_tab_col.eng for the PC_SEAR_SCAN_BIB lines from 040 - 040 - 020 to 050 - 050 - 000.
