    Description:
We're trying Course Reserves on our Aleph 20 test, thought I had permissions setup correctly, but get the following when trying to create a new course:

    c1703 new-course 35 Unable to write course

    Resolution:
I see the following errors in the pc_server log:

    Oracle error: update_cursor z108
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Oracle error: io_z108_get_last_sequence
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

Upgrade Express step 1013 moves the z108 from the xxx30 library to the xxx50.

I find that the z108 does not exist in abc50 -- nor in abc30.

As described in KB 16384-15857 "The Upgrade kit is not meant to be run and then re-run on the same data and configuration files". See KB 16384-15857.

If you ran the Backup/Restore Oracle Tables to be Upgraded, then you can restore the abc30 z00 and the z108 and re-run steps 1012 and 1013.
