    Problem Symptoms:
    Authority links are not created for some 650#4 fields. In index list in BIB library no AUT information can be seen.

    Cause:
    Configuration

    Resolution:
    In xxx01/tab/tab_aut the following entry for index subjects is added:
    ! COL 2. 1; TEXT {1,2,3, ,}; ;
    ! 008 usage code;
    ! Usage code from tag 008 must be a or c:
    ! 1 - pos. 14 (Main or added entry)
    ! 2 - pos. 15 (Subject added entry)
    ! 3 - pos. 16 (Series added entry)
    ! If left blank there is no check on the
    ! usage codes in the authority record;
    ! 1 2 3 4 5 6
    !!!!!-!-!!!!!-!!!!!-!!!!!-!!!!!
    SUB 3 XXX10

    According to the header description this means that an update with the AUT record is done only when position 16, field 008 of AUT record has character ?€œa?€?. Actually Field 008 of affected AUT records had on position 016 character ?€œ^?€? and therefore no update was performed. When adding the ?€œa?€? to position 16 for the AUT records the index will be immediately updated.

    However the entry in xxx01/tab/tab_aut is supposedly not correct and column 2 should be changed to ?€œ2?€? instead of ?€œ3?€? as ?€œ3?€? is for series added entries whereas ?€œ2?€? is for subject added entries which is the case here.
