BIAFlabel program: "Not found ALef Version!"

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
I have my GUI installed under the C:\GUI_TEST_NEW directory. I've just installed the BIAF label software into C:\GUI_TEST_NEW\BIAFLABEL directory. However when I try to open the application it gives me an error message:

"Not found ALef Version!" (see picture attached).

So I don't know how to proceed with the activation of the software. The ALEPH Printing documentation for version 19 says only the following:

"The BIAF Print Label Software must be installed under the ALEPH version root. For example, if ALEPH is installed under C:\AL500 then the program must be installed in C:\AL500\BiafLabel."

Can you please let me know what I should do to activate the software?

    Resolution:
Before installing BIAFlabel, you should open a GUI module.

After doing that, confirm that you see a (zero-length) file "BiafLabel.dat" in the ./alephcom/bin/ directory. If this file is not present, BiafLabel will not work.
