When would the Upgrade Express step "Backup/Restore Oracle Tables to be Upgraded" be run?
Resolution:
This step is run to back up your data on the target server ... after it exists on that server!
If the target instance is on a new server, the steps would be:
1. Export Oracle data from old version
2. Export u-tree from old version [1 and 2 can be done as one step with the 19-20 UE kit]
3. Save the vanilla target version $alephe directories
4. Place the exported files on the target version
5. Modify alephe per install instructions
6. Run Oracle import to load the data
7. Run "Backup/Restore Oracle Tables to be Upgraded" to save the tables which will be upgraded for v17-v18
8. Run Upgrade Express 17-18
9. Run "Backup/Restore Oracle Tables to be Upgraded" to save the tables which will be upgraded for v18-v19
10. Run Upgrade Express 18-19
11. Run "Backup/Restore Oracle Tables to be Upgraded" to save the tables which will be upgraded for v19-20
10. Run Upgrade Express 19-20
