Question
How are bib, z30 (Item), z108 (Course), and course doc records connected to each other?
Answer
The xxx30 course doc record is connected to the ADM/item record via an ITM link if the item is owned by the library and has an xxx01 bib record. Otherwise, as in the case of a professor's copy, the link is an ADM-type link. These links can be seen in util f/3/12 ("Display Links Associated with a Record").
The xxx50 z108 (Course) record is linked to the xxx30 Course doc record via xxx30 z11 (Direct index) "CNO" and"CNO-S" index entries. These CNO fields can also be seen in the xxx30 Course doc record itself.
The Course doc record can be viewed in xxx30 util f/4.
