    Description:
We've discovered a bibliographic record today which will consistently crash the Cataloging client. The same record will cause problems on at least 3 different PC's.

    BIB doc number 850517

We can view it in the web OPAC and GUI search, Items, and cataloging the ADM or HOL record. But attempts to Catalog the BIB causes Aleph to close with the normal Windows crashed program response.

The problem seems to be with a 505 contents note, which is quite close to 2000 characters. When this field is shortened, the client doesn't crash.

    Resolution:
This issue is still open and was escalated to Development for further investigation <2007-11-11 01:00:01>.
